Impeach or jail

If you weren't already aware, the President has broken the law and admitted to commiting an action that is against the law. The law, mind you, requires a 5 year jail sentence and a 10,000 dollar fine. So as it stands now, Bush should be in jail for the next 5 years. Unfortunately, back on the planet where Bush can do what he wants, neo-cons still think he did nothing wrong.

from CNN:

http://movies.crooksandliars.com/TSR-Dersh-Spy-Crime.wmv

""
Wolf: Did the President break the law?

Alan: I think the President broke the law. I think congress should hold hearings...

The only talking points I've heard by the likes of "Newt" is to attack the NY Times over publishing this story. I almost agree with the wingnuts this time. They should have published it last year.
""

Pretty clear given the facts presented here. I post this video only because its a nice summary of the situation without all the bullshit.

I welcome comments to this post, but I will pose the same question I posted last time again. Are you willing to give me recorded copies of your phone calls over the past 3 years? If you say no to this, then you understand, at least in some small part, why the President broke the law.

This man has tried to superceed the Constitution of the United States. Actions like this are the kind of actions that warrent impeachment of the President. If you think otherwise, I would like a copy of all of your phone calls over the past 3 years. O, you aren't ok with that? Yea, shut the fuck up.

Christy felt my last entry was somehow directed to one person or another. I thought I should correct that and simply say it wasn't. I dont see how she could say that given the fact she watched the piece on Countdown with me. lol. O wells.

Hey, in general though, http://www.crooksandliars.com/ is a great site.

BTW, O'reilly fucks up again: http://www.crooksandliars.co/2005/12/01.html#a6143 . Maybe his audience finally gets how insanse he is.

O, and after the ownage that I posted about in my last entry:

http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/12/01.html#a6133

FOX changes their website from Holiday to Christmas ornaments

Now it's : "Put your Christmas tree in "The No Spin Zone" with this silver glass "O'Reilly Factor" ornament. Metal cap and hoop for hanging. Made in the USA."

Before it was: "Put your holiday tree in "The No Spin Zone" with this silver glass "O'Reilly Factor" ornament. Metal cap and hoop for hanging. Made in the USA."

Memo to Bill: It's kind of hard to make up a controversy when your own website ignores it too.
Thank Mary

Mary posted this on Myspace. So fucking cool:

94% of men lie about their penis size.
According to condom manufacturers, only 6% of
men use extra large condoms.
2) The average man is 5 inches long when erect
(no matter what you have heard ladies, that's the
truth).
3) 80% of American men are circumsized. Even
though Pediatrics say it is not necessary.
4) No matter what all the ads say, nothing can
make your penis grow but time (most men reach
the end of their growth by the early 20's)
5) There is no correlation between penis size and
shoe size, hand size, or nose size.
6) Blue balls does exist! It's technically
called "prostatic congestion."
7) Only 16% of men shave their privates.

Some stuff on the ladies
------------------------------
1) Only 9% of women around the globe consider
themselves "attractive" (20% of British women
do).
43% of women use the term "natural", 24% say
they have "average" looks, 8% prefer the
term "feminine", 7% say they are "good looking",
and 7% say they are "cute", and finally only 2% of
women say they are "sexy".
2) An estimated 85% of women wear the wrong
size bra.
3) 60% of women have had breast implants.
4) 75% of women dont like oral sex
5) 95% of women shave their privates.

Both
--------------------------------
1) Masturbation is healthy for both men and
women.
2) 70% of highschoolers have had sex before
they
have graduated. 27% loose their virginity senior
prom night. Only 3% wait until marriage.
3) 95% of men would have sex with a girl after 1
month of dating. Only 10% of women feel this way.

5 Reasons Why Sex is Good
---------------------------------------------
1) It is a good workout. Sex burns about 150
calories every half an hour of it. It will lower your
cholesterol and improve breathing circulation.
2) You won't get sick. According to research if
you
have sex 1-2 times a week you are less likely to
get sick.
3) You'll feel happier. You will feel a greater sense
of well-being. Women who have more sex were
clinically proven to be less depressed than women
who dont have sex.
4) Makes you look better- [ problem is ugly people
don`t get any ]. Sex releases hormones in your which make your skin and hair softer and
shinier and tone your physic.
5) (The best reason) You will live longer. Studies
prove that sex makes you live longer. Men who
had sex 1-2 times a week had half the death rate
as those who did not indulge themselves at least
once a month. It also makes you look younger. If
you have sex 3 times a week you may look up to
10 years younger than you really are.

Did You Know
----------------------------------------
1) Having sex 3 times a week for 1 year adds up
to
running 75 miles!!!!

If you don't post this then you will have bad sex
for
7 years (who wants that?)

It's ma Birthday

Since it is my birthday, I decided to update. I know it isn't "offically" my birthday anymore, but when I started to write this all it was still the 22nd.

I guess I need to go backwards through all of this. Let me start with my birthday presents:

First and foremost is from my parents. They got me a car. It is a 2004 Saturn L300.1, Burgundy, and it is AMAZING.

Screw LJ cuts for this picture. I have to show off my baby. She drives great, and with the decal I got, I can drive to my class everyday this summer and go workout whenever I want. Boo ya. I can't describe how amazing it is to have a car at UF. This campus is fine to get around without one, but if you want to go anywhere in town you have two options; bus or car. The bus is fine and it works, but when I want to get up and go I can finally do it when I want. Here is another great bonus, I dont have to ask anyone anymore to take me to get groceries. Thank you Linda, Jen, Obehi, Matt, etc... anyone else who ever took me, but I am a big boy now.

My second present was from my baby:

World of Warcraft

This game is going to get me addicted, and I know that wont be good in the fall. In the meantime though, I love it. Perfect getaway from whatever is bothering me.

Speaking of the fall, I got into both DAS and Graphic Design. I mentioned this before, but I think it bears repeating. Since I first found out, 2 other people are going to be joining me in this endeavor. To get a kick in the ass before it begins, I need to get a Mac. Thats right Jazzy (and all you mac lovers), I am going to get a Mac. I was never against a Mac save the price and its lack of gaming. By the way, World of Warcraft is playable on the Mac (SWEEEET).

So what kind of Mac are you getting Brandon??? Well I am glad you asked.

                                Dual 2.3GHz PowerPC G5
1.15GHz frontside
bus/processor
512K L2 cache/processor
512MB DDR400 SDRAM
Expandable to 8GB SDRAM
250GB Serial ATA
16x SuperDrive (double-layer)
Three PCI-X Slots
ATI Radeon 9600
128MB DDR video memory

Thats the start at least. I am going to up that to 1 GB of Ram (MINIMUM), and I will be using my old (but still top of the line) Viewsonic 19" CRT. LCDs just dont cut it in the graphics fields, period.

So on the 18th, Christy and I headed to Orlando for the Star Wars premiere. I still remember waiting in line at the same theater at Pleasure Islan when I was about 13 to see Episode 1 with my dad. I skipped the rest of the day at Trinity to see that, and I skipped my class at UF to see this one. Midnight showing an it was GREAT. Best Prequel Star Wars and second to only Empire overall.

Here is one pic from the showing. Christy and I got bored during the two hour wait so we had some fun.

Christy and I ended up seeing it again last night because we loved it so much.

Today, for my birthday though, we did a few things.

Slept in

Made a cake (double layer deep chocolate cake with strawberries and whipped cream icing)

Made cookies

Ate dinner at Chipotle

Went to the Devil's Millhopper (15,000 year old sinkhole. Picture

Had friends over for cake

Played World of Warcraft

Overall I cant complain. It was a great day, and it was a great day with just my baby (well for most of the day we were alone).

So that is it. I am 20. The start of a new year for me. No longer a teenager. Weird. I guess I should act more like an adult now.......NAHHHHH.

May the Force Be with You.

Trinity Alumni Dinner

To all Trinity alumni that go to UF. There is a dinner tonight at Napalitano's in Gainesville. The dinner is being held by Trinity teachers who are coming up to UF today, and the dinner is being offered to all Trinity alumni who can attend. There is no charge, it is on the teachers. It is from 7-9 PM.

I would like to go, but I dont have a means to get there. So if there is someone who is going and can give me a ride, that would be great.

Brandon's new:

I got into both Digital Arts and Sciences AND Graphic Design.
I thought I would have to pick one, but I found out otherwise.
Say hello to a double major in DAS and GD. Booya.
This makes e the first, along with Shelley, to attempt a double major in these two degrees this year. In fact, this has NEVER been attempted before at UF. I will be one of the first two people at UF to ever graduate with a double majore in DAS and GD.

I need help on an art project form everyone.

I am asking everyone to respond (anonymous if you want, but it shouldn't really matter) with a metaphor of how you (the person writing) views me (Brandon) as a person.

One or more metaphors would be awesome. They can be short, long, doesn't matter. They can be about how I act, how I live, what things I do (maneurisms), ANYTHING. Just throw it at me, even if it is negative.

GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a game. My throat is so incredibly sore, BUT I DONT CARE. AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First time since 1986 in Tallahasse.
First game won at "Bobby Bowden Field." (Rename it: Ron Zook Field)
First time in 32 years that an unranked Florida team has beat a ranked FSU team.

I am so fucking happy. I love this.

I gotta tip my hat to Zook. I know that it was mostly the players (coming from the players), but good show.

20-13
20-13
20-13

This is one to remember, and I watched it.
So I guess Blue Key is in town.

I walk outside of Taco Bell to be swarmed by suits. Weird sense of Deja Vu. I am not really intersted in judging this time because I just dont have the time. Which works out since I never contacted B about it.

I am walking over to CSE and who do I find? Kelly Baulke. So nice to see old friends for once in a while. I am starting to get burned out from all this art, and I need a break. Soon enough, only a few weeks till Thanksgiving and home.

well I am sure I will run into a crazy number of debators over the weekend because someone decided to put a lot of events in ALL the Fine Arts buildings. GENIUS......

Ah well, back to work.

ZOOK IS FIRED, ZOOK IS FIRED, I AM SO HAPPY ZOOK IS FIRED.

Sing it with me now.

Bring back Spurrier. WOoot.

"I'll cross that bridge if it comes to that," Spurrier said. "One thing I've tried to do all this year is not be lingering around acting like I'm waiting for another guy's job. I don't believe that's the right way to do it. But now that he (Zook) doesn't have a job, I guess there will be some discussions. We'll see what happens."

-Orlando Sentinel

1. Steve Spurrier: The Ol' Ballcoach left Florida because of a dispute with athletic director Jeremy Foley, but that won't stop Foley from making inquiries, if only because the Gator Nation will demand it. Still, it's hard to imagine they could work together again.

2. Bob Stoops: Foley made a run at him three years ago. Again, until Stoops says no, all it costs Foley is a couple of cellphone minutes.

3. Urban Meyer: A logical candidate because of his ties to the University of Florida president and because he has shown an ability to win a lot of games at both Bowling Green and Utah.

4. Rich Rodriguez: He's home at West Virginia, and he's winning, and he's a big fish in the smaller Big East pond. Would he be interested in the bigger pond?

5. Bobby Petrino: His Louisville team made Miami work for 60 minutes, and he proved last season that he's willing to leap at an SEC job, even if it's still filled.

O yea baby.
Whats up!!!!!!!

So whats up everyone. I am actually writing something.

a list of things I am doing right now:
-school, lots of art, as usual
-World of Warcraft closed beta. I help make a great game better.
-debating on staying in g-ville over the summer or getting an internship in maitland with EA-Tiburon. Tough choice when i have an apartment and want to take summer classes.
-Going to subscribe to Wired Magazine. It is one awesome mag, and I have recently fallen in love with it.
-I got a new icon.
-I still need new colors to this crappy LJ.
-watched Kerry win the first debate
-Actually going to see Moore on the 4th. Should be good entertainment, maybe a few good laughs. Bush jokes are always fun.
-I bought ESPN NFL 2K5. Great game, but I dont have the time to play right now...although I seem to have found the time to play WoW (World of Warcraft) over 24 hours, thtats right, a full DAY, in the last week. I know, its sad. O well, it is still fun.
-Still waiting for my absentee ballot.
-More football on Saturday, its an iffy season, but I think we will pull through.
-Christy got into UF. Big news, but over a week old news, but I have to put it in for my baby. She deserves it so much. I cant wait for lunches on the lawn in the cool Spring of Gainesville. UF rocks, period.
-I am extremely pissed UF didn't apply to have the debate here. I would have been there in a heartbeat.
-SOMEONE suggest colors for this LJ. Please. I may go dark and blue to compliment my logo, but I am not totally sent on that.
-Buy the Star Wars DVDs. They are beautiful.
-I got 4, count them, 4 Adult Swim posters in Turlington last week. If you dont know what Adult Swim is, stop watching crappy Leno or Letterman at night and turn to Cartoon Network.

-If you want to know anyting about my semester, go ahead and ask. I would love to hear from people again, now that I have this semester under control.

In less than 48 hours I will be in Gainesville. I love getting back, but then I have no car. I have to readjust back to that kind of lifestyle. I'm looking forward to it, and I am also kind of bleh about it. Funny how that is. I am just gonna need some time to get settled again. I still have to finish packing. I basically have a job (got a call from the Moe's manager), so I can stop worrying about that. Now to make a list of stuff I need in terms of food and go get half of it tomorrow.... Maybe I'll just go and get it, no list, tomorrow....

I am too lazy.

Now that I dont even work (thanks to the lack of power at Moe's) I cant find shit to do. Fun times, huh? O well. I guess I will be ready to go back, but I want to see some peopel before then.
Couldn't have said it better myself, which is why I am posting it.

Found elsewhere:

For more support of the original article, the NYTimes ran an op-ed piece that concurs completely with the National Review premise.

I'm a pretty staunch liberal, which means that I believe in universal standards of human rights and liberties for all, regardless of race, creed, sexual preference, and nationality, both domestic and abroad. Liberal foreign policy, at its most refined, is committed to the elimination of human rights transgressions and abuses worldwide.

Under that definition, the argument that the War in Iraq was predominately a human rights rectification undertaken by America seems very liberal in its premise. So why do most liberals seem to be so staunchly opposed to the war?

Its because many do not believe morality was the legitimate reason that Bush led a powerful coalition into war.

Saddam Hussein, at his very worst, pales in comparison to many of his contemporary despots, of whom, NOT A SINGLE WORD has been spoken by this administration in condemnation. Idi Amin (Uganda), Musharrif (Pakistan), Mugabe (Zimbabwe) -- they all practice descipable conventions within their own countries, at best on par with the offenses Saddam committed. Why hasn't Bush said a word about them? Well, most notably, in the case of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, he is somewhat friendly to the United States, and more importantly, the President. How could the United States conscientiously sit by as thousands of people have been killed in the last few years in Sudan and then proudly regal in the fact that we went to war in Iraq for humanitarian reasons? It doesn't make any sense. Which leads me to believe that morality was not the determinant factor in this decision.

Plans for war in Iraq were drawn up before September 11th, as stated in grand jury testimony by former aide Richard Clarke. The terror ties scream of being added purely as circumstantial evidence to solidify public opinion behind the president.

And, furthermore, diplomacy, in fits and starts, WAS WORKING. Annual death rates in Iraq were well down from highs reached in the mid-nineties. The extreme majority of cases argued by Bush as being humanitarian breaches conducted by the Hussein regime were over five years old! Yes, Saddam was still a murderer at the time of the American incursion. But the level of death and torture had subsided, and was continuing to do so. Weapons inspections, controversial as they were, in hindsight seem to have been effective. Hans Blix stated he believed there were no weapons to be found in Iraq, and to this date, nothing substantive has been found. And doesn't the handover of jurisdiction and control to the Iraqis, conducted just this week, seem to point to the conclusion that the United States government has acknowledged there are no weapons likely to be found. Because certainly if the government believe there were still weapons hidden in Iraq, the correct moral move would not be to hand them back over to the people we tried to take them away from.

I don't know what the motivations for war were, but Moore offers a possibility, and it must be understood that intelligent liberals understand that is is merely one possibility among many. I don't believe what he says word for word. But I listen to his argument before I criticize it. And I do criticize it. The interviews and information he portrayed was drastically undermined by the way he presented it unfairly. And for that I apologize on the behalf of all liberals who are tired of being called communists, socialists, and un-American, the vilest of all derogatory clauses slung at liberals from the right. It hurts when our patriotism is questioned because we exercise our constitutional right to offer social criticism towards the current administration.

Social criticism has never been about portraying both sides equally. Jonathan Swift never argued the side of the religious establishment in Gullivar's Travels or A Modest Proposal. All Michael Moore was doing was offering an opinion, a right guaranteed under the American Constitution. Such a right would not be given in a socialist regime. So you can rest assured that, despite all arguments to the contrary, Michael Moore very well may be just as patriotic as you or I.

Lebezniatnikov.blogspot.com
